The Mumbai Debacle....

Well the aftermath of the biggest terrorist attack the country has witnessed seem to be worse....Some comments from our so called leaders and my views on the same ....

1)BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said.

"Some women wearing lipstick and powder have taken to streets in Mumbai and are abusing politicians spreading dissatisfaction against democracy. This is what terrorists are doing in Jammu and Kashmir,"

WTF is wrong with him....the whole concept of whether women wear lipstick or powder does not matter in such a situation....it just shows that no matter how your lifestyle is, what class you belong to we all unite in the face of terror against india...So I believe something is seriously wrong with Mr Naqvi who calls these women his sisters(oh yeah thats the icing on the cake....he specifically mentioned yeh humare behane mahilayen...)and had to bring out such comments at such an important time...

2)"If it had not been (Major) Sandeep's house, not even a dog would have glanced that way."

This was how Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan heaped scorn on Monday on the family of NSG Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan slain in the Mumbai terror attack during commando operations, igniting a controversy after smarting under the snub from the father of the angry officer's when he went to Bangalore to offer his condolences.

Mr K Unnikrishnan did not allow the Kerala CM into his house after what he perceived the CM's visit to be a political stunt(which i strongly believe) and the kerala cm had to resort to use of such pathetic statements....if the Kerala CM on showing his solidarity then he must have been present during the funeral and not so late...He deserves the treatment...I cannot even begin to imagine the grief that Mr K Unnikrishnan must be going through....I am sorry for the loss of Major Sandeep and hope that no other family has to go through all this...

3)“In a big city such as Mumbai, incidents likes these keep happening,” he told the media soon after Mumbai's 60-hour-long terror attack ended on November 29.

This was Mr RR Patil's statement of the Mumbai attacks which he terms as a minor incident...I fail to understand if this is a minor incident then what is a major one...I dont understand in how many "big cities" such things is a routine affair...and this person is supposed to be our leader...

The above are some of the most comic comments i must say and to top it all The Mahrashtra CM oops sorry former Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh Takes Ram Gopal Varma on a tour of the attack...I know a film will be comin out soon but so soon with the full co-operation of the government when they could be doing something constructive is something one must question....

Hats off to Mrs Hemant Karkare who has actually denied Mr Modi's offer of Rs One Crore.....Seriously one cannot be so lost in politics as Mr Modi is when he actually turned the scene of terror into his own political playground....Our Heroes dont need money....They need the respect they actually deserve.....

This is not the cry of Mumbai, Its the cry of a billion people....Our fates rest in the hands of the above mentioned people....They represent our country, represent what we are, our ideas etc They decide our fate, take such strategically important decisions...I think the time has come for us to take a decision...I am not talking about the elections... Next BJP may come to power and we might have another such minor incident as Mr Patil puts it....We have to make a decision on where we stand...As the old saying goes...UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL...

A Prayer for my unknown brother...

Its 12.30 in the nite an dthe whole of mumbai is in a shock...Terrrorists are taking over random parts of the city....This is my first prayer in years and its is for my unknown brothers and sisters in mumbai...Hope u stay safe...

My name is Sharat and I am THE CINEMA ADDICT......the wonderful 3 hour entertainer(tamil cinema)....I am just back from a movie called Vaaranam Aayiram loosely translated as the strength of a thousand elephants.....Well i went for the seond time only because i said i will go with my brother who has been troubling me to get tickets since the film released and ended up doing it himself...the first time i watched it in a local theatre and that too was on the first day....well you can imagine the crowd and the film created huge expectations with its promos and to say the truth i was more than disappointed...the film was a flat 3 hours and there were too many useless boring scenes....so you must imagine how brave i must be to shell out another 150 bucks and go for the second time....well this time around things were different....i felt more than good about the film....20 minutes of the movie was edited due to popular request i believe...now it was in a very decent theatre a superbrand they say....the crowd was good....

This leads me to wonder did my opinion change because of the environment or was it because of the editing through which i felt more connected to the film....and i gotta say its a mix of both...Now i realise (more than ever) that a movie must be watched in tune to its environment....you can watch a boring masala movie with anyone in any theatre and still say its the best one of the decade, the hero was brilliant, blah blah blah.....but off late i have become more of the luxury type men....one who wants to watch a good movie with push back seating, in a air- conditioned theatre with good popcorn and pepsi.....however local i try to be i cannot change the way i was meant to be...well i am writing this post because i feel happy that i watched a good movie which made me smile and though it tried hard could not make me cry....i liked the actors (loved sameera reddy....[:-*]), loved the tone of the movie, the music etc....and now with this elated feeling i am signing off...

P.S...one more thing abt the movie...its one worth watching or to put it in better words a must-watch movie....

:( :( :(

Today was one of the most depressing days in recent months....i dont know whether it is because dada has called it quits or because of the fact that i have been cooped up in the house for the past two days....and the worst part is i have stopped caring abt such stuffs....

Just to make it official i did like put it in writing the fact that i hate exams, hate work....i just want to do nothin....i dont want to have any exam pressure or worry abt work or constantly have somethin on my mind....i miss the 2 o clock sun tv movies....i miss my naps at odd times during the day....i miss hanging out with my frens.....and most of all i miss being a 19 year old.....and so i should just end by sayin my name is sharat chandrasekhar and this is my life.....

Blog Update!!!!

Well I had to delete some 3 posts out of the 7 or 8 that i have posted plus i have also changed the style of the blog......like it eh??? All this is due to too much thinking on my part which i am generally not used to....Anyways i regret for not posting anything for this long and hopefully u ppl will get to see more posts in the future[:)]

India all the way.....

This is a forward which i came across....I am not all that patriotic....but after reading this one i can proudly say I AM AN INDIAN!!!!...Hope u feel the same...this was actually written by a pakistani blogger....

The two Ambani brothers can buy 100 percent of every company listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) and would still be left with $30 billion to spare. The four richest Indians can buy up all goods and services produced over a year by 169 million Pakistanis and still be left with $60 billion to spare. The four richest Indians are now richer than the forty richest Chinese.

In November, Bombay Stock Exchange's benchmark Sensex flirted with 20,000 points. As a consequence, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries became a $100 billion company (the entire KSE is capitalized at $65 billion). Mukesh owns 48 percent of Reliance.

In November, comes Neeta's birthday. Neeta turned forty-four three weeks ago. Look what she got from her husband as her birthday present: A sixty-million dollar jet with a custom fitted master bedroom, bathroom with mood lighting, a sky bar, entertainment cabins, satellite television, wireless communication and a separate cabin with game consoles. Neeta is Mukesh Ambani's wife, and Mukesh is not India's richest but the second richest.

Mukesh is now building his new home, Residence Antillia (after a mythical, phantom island somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean). At a cost of $1 billion this would be the most expensive home on the face of the planet. At 173 meters tall Mukesh's new family residence, for a family of six, will be the equivalent of a 60-storeyed building. The first six floors are reserved for parking. The seventh floor is for car servicing and maintenance. The eighth floor houses a mini-theatre. Then there's a health club, a gym and a swimming pool. Two floors are reserved for Ambani family's guests. Four floors above the guest floors are family floors all with a superb view of the Arabian Sea. On top of everything are three helipads. A staff of 600 is expected to care for the family and their family home.

In 2004, India became the 3rd most attractive foreign direct investment destination. Pakistan wasn't even in the top 25 countries. In 2004, the United Nations, the representative body of 192 sovereign member states, had requested the Election Commission of India to assist the UN in the holding elections in Al Jumhuriyah al Iraqiyah and Dowlat-e Eslami-ye Afghanestan. Why the Election Commission of India and not the Election Commission of Pakistan? After all, Islamabad is closer to Kabul than Delhi.

Imagine, 12 percent of all American scientists are of Indian origin; 38 percent of doctors in America are Indian; 36 percent of NASA scientists are Indians; 34 percent of Microsoft employees are Indians; and 28 percent of IBM employees are Indians.

For the record: Sabeer Bhatia created and founded Hotmail. Sun Microsystems was founded by Vinod Khosla. The Intel Pentium processor, that runs 90 percent of all computers, was fathered by Vinod Dham. Rajiv Gupta co-invented Hewlett Packard's E-speak project. Four out of ten Silicon Valley start-ups are run by Indians. Bollywood produces 800 movies per year and six Indian ladies have won Miss Universe/Miss World titles over the past 10 years.

For the record: Azim Premji, the richest Muslim entrepreneur on the face of the planet, was born in Bombay and now lives in Bangalore.India now has more than three dozen billionaires; Pakistan has none (not a single dollar billionaire).

The other amazing aspect is the rapid pace at which India is creating wealth. In 2002, Dhirubhai Ambani, Mukesh and Anil Ambani's father, left his two sons a fortune worth $2.8 billion. In 2007, their combined wealth stood at $94 billion. On 29 October 2007, as a result of the stock market rally and the appreciation of the Indian rupee, Mukesh became the richest person in the world, with net worth climbing to US$63.2 billion (Bill Gates, the richest American, stands at around $56 billion).
Indians and Pakistanis have the same Y-chromosome haplogroup. We have the same genetic sequence and the same genetic marker (namely: M124). We have the same DNA molecule, the same DNA sequence. Our culture, our traditions and our cuisine are all the same. We watch the same movies and sing the same songs. What is it that Indians have and we don't?

Indians elect their leaders.

Another Movie Review!!!!

Well as i have said previously i watch every other movie and the latest one is Indiralogathil Naa Alagappan.... Basically the movie is too shitty for me to review it in detail...So one my frens(who actually came with me to the movie and is jobless enuf to review) wrote a review....do check out that-->www.meetmafia.blogspot.com......

Acting and Madhavan.....

Being the movie addict i am i certainly have an opinion abt every actor and i criticise most of them( except for our thalaivar-superstar vaazhga!!!)...The recent actor who has caught my eye for his acting in pathetic movies is ofcourse madhavan.....now many might seem to disagree especially the girls.....but for once if they actually control their hormones and see him as an actor they will know how pathetic he is....
His recent films offlate has been too social with no script.....I believe its thebad influence of Seeman who has played a role in all the 3 films i am gonna talk abt directing two of them and acting in one ofthem apart form writing the dialogues....Madhavan entered this foray with Thambi.....As we all know he suddenly increased his decibel level at times and the film didnt have a good screenplay and as such failed at the box office though receivin some critical acclaim....The next is one of the worst movies to be ever screened....It goes by the name evano oruvan....It had such a pathetic script and no story at all....All they wanted to tell was that the middle class was suffering and society has taken a turn for de worst....Being jobless on a sunday My friend(another jobless guy) and I wanted to watch some movie and we ended up at anna theatre which is pretty good considering what they say outside except the bad air freshner.....With no base the director took the movie for 2 and half hours nearly......at time i considered walking out but then realised i had nothing else to do and so i stayed put......I just hope that such a movie never hits the screens again....The latest of his pathetic movie is Vaazhutukal which i just saw.....Its one of those early 90's movies where there is a huge family....one girl whomthey all love and then the hero comes in sweeps her off her feet and naturallly the family doesnt like love marriages and rejects him and in the end they get together......I want to know what the director(Seeman) has exactly tried.....Madhavan s acting has taken a turn for the worst and i personally believe he must never act in another movie of seeman's again.....
